What are Jig Strips?

Jig strips are one of the most durable and versatile trailers for lures on the market. Designed by North East surf cast fisherman, Jig Strips hold up to agressive and toothy fish bites longer the soft bait grubs, worms, and other lure trailer alternatives.

What are the benefits of using a Jig Strip trailer?

Jig Strips are designed to add the extra flutter and flare necessary to attract big fish. Visit our BENEFITS page for more information.

What are Jig Strips made of?

Jig strips are made of a soft flexible material designed to be highly durable, reusable, and stand up to toothy fish. Jig Strips do not dry out when left on the hook and come in a variety of colors to be used in a wide range of fishing applications.

How do I use a Jig Strip?

Hook a Jig Strip to your lure of choice and fish as normal. Ideal for surfcasting bucktails, jigging, trolling tubes, umbrella rigs, and more.

Do Jig Strips dry out?

No, Jig Strips will not dry out like other alternatives on the market. We do use a small amount of oil to prevent them from sticking together and for scenting purposes. This oil can dissipate if exposed to the air for extended periods of time but this will not affect the shelf life or performance.

How do I remove a Jig Strip from my hook?

We recommend that you use a pair of pliers to pull on the long end of the strip and stretch the hole without ripping the strip.  Then turn and pull the long end toward the back of the hook and lift the hole over the barb.

Can I store different colored Jig Strips in the same jar? Will the colors run?

Yes you can store multiple colors in the same jar. The colors will not run if you decide to do so.
